It’s really true – Good things do come in little
packages. In this instance it is the wireless pocket POS solution
from WAY Systems.
Of the many wireless credit card products available today
this is one of the best new products that I have seen. The
WAY Systems MTT-1500 (Mobile Transaction Terminal) wireless
terminal is a small palm sized Siemens mobile phone with a
built in magnetic stripe reader. It is so compact that it
can fit in the top pocket of your dress shirt or can be worn
on your belt with the optional belt clip.
What really makes this a cool solution is that the separate
portable battery operated printer will print the credit card
receipt by just pointing your pocket terminal towards the
printer and the infrared beam will activate the printer from
as far away as 4 feet. This is the same technology used by
your TV remote control. The MTT printer uses 2.25” wide
by 50 foot long rolls of thermal paper that can be purchased
from your favorite office supply store.
 You
will receive your WAY terminal in a prepackaged boxed kit.
Prior to being shipped to you it is already loaded with your
merchant account program, activated with the wireless network
and live tested to insure it is working properly. So as soon
as you receive your unit it is all ready to begin processing
immediately.
The MTT wireless credit card terminal that we
provide is designed for use just as a mobile wireless POS
terminal. However, if you want to use it for voice and data
usage this can be easily accomplished as it contains the inner
components for use as a regular mobile phone. It is fully
compatible with both Cingular (AT&T Wireless) and T-Mobile.
You simply need to get a new SIM card directly from a Cingular
or T-Mobile agent that will enable all voice and data usage
to be charged directly to that account. Once you receive the
new SIM card the WAY Systems tech support desk can assist
you with the installation.
The WAY Systems MTT uses the GPRS network of Cingular (AT&T
Wireless) and should it not find an adequate signal strength
it automatically roams to T-Mobile at no additional cost.
This combination offers excellent coverage throughout the
U.S. in over 90% of populated areas making it the biggest
data network covering about 280 million people in the United
States. GPRS has strong coverage both indoors and outdoors
within the coverage areas as it works on both 850Mhz and 1900Mhz
frequencies. Before purchasing this unit we recommend that
you make a list of the areas where you usually conduct business
and then check the GPRS coverage map that is located at www.waysystems.com/gprs_map.php.
A valuable feature of the MTT terminal is what is called
Store and Forward. If you are in a remote area where there
is no coverage then you can continue to run sales and print
receipts without the terminal dialing out for an authorization.
Then once you return to a covered area you can transmit all
of the stored sales to the processor at one time.
The company that routes your transactions into the credit
card processing center is Transaction Network Services (TNS),
formerly U.S. Wireless Data. A nice feature that is included
with this program is the ability for you to view your transactions
online in real-time using Synapse Manager. Once you are signed
up we will assign you a user name and password so that you
can access your transaction history.

my first Oki portable cell phone on sale at Bloomingdale’s
for $799.00. If I was lucky enough to get a strong enough
signal to make a call, and if the battery lasted for more
than an hour, and if I didn’t get stares from people
using a payphone who had never seen one of these portable
telephones before, and if my arm didn’t get cramps from
holding it’s weight then I was having a good day. Boy
have we come a long way in technology in the past 25 years.
Today almost every person over age 12 owns a mobile phone
that works nationwide, has a battery that lasts for hours
of constant use, and is small enough to fit in the palm of
your hand. With that in mind, Credit Card Processing Services
has put together a complete program for processing credit
cards directly from your mobile phone. So if you have the
type of business that has the need to accept credit cards
on the road, at a trade show, or in the field then this is

Download the free AIRCHARGE® J2MEsm wireless payment
processing software onto your compatible java enabled phone.
This free software is downloaded Over-The-Air right to your
phone. You can download this from www.aircharge.com.
A technical service representative from Aircharge will be
happy to assist you.
Step 4
Credit Card Processing Services will assist you with the
setup of your MasterCard and Visa merchant account. Here is

Step 5
In order to qualify for the swiped rate above you will need
to attach a small magnetic-stripe reader designed especially
for your phone. There are a variety of models available depending
upon your needs. We have both mag-stripe readers and mag-stripe
readers with an integrated printer. The prices vary slightly
depending upon what you select, but you can expect to pay
between $199.00 and $229.00 for the mag-stripe reader.
An optional portable receipt printer can also be purchased
for between $199.00 and $249.00. The units that include both
the mag-stripe reader and printer in a single unit will cost
you about $459.00 depending upon your selected model. However
many small mobile merchants simply use a manual imprinter
that we sell for $35.00.
Step 6
Once your merchant account is approved, Credit Card Processing
Services will setup your wireless gateway with eProcessing
Network so that your transactions will be processed on the
VisaNet network. Here is the pricing for this piece of the
